An organic useful string sound
The Mandolin is a small string instrument which evolved from the lute family in Italy during the 17th and 18th centuries. It is usually plucked with a plectrum and has 4 courses of doubled metal strings, usually tuned in perfect 5th. Our Mandolin instrument is a flat back soprano Mandolin from Ireland. It is tuned like a violin in G-D-A-E.
Our instrument provides four different plucking articulations. Furthermore, it is equipped with a powerful and organic tremolo feature which allows you to play our Mandolin in the typical "tragic" tremolo style.
Our Mandolin is an instrument that allows you to play easily and quickly to your music and enrich it with a natural and organic feel.

Organic Sound
We mainly focused on capturing the notes in a very realistic and organic way. All main articulations were recorded with a cool condenser in four times round robins and 2-3 velocity layers.

Tremolo Feature
Utilizing the four articulations we implemented a Tremolo feature, which can be easily controlled by the mod wheel. This tremolo can create a tragic and dramatic effect, perfectly fitting in many different music styles and genres.
Strumming Engine
It is effortless to use - you only need to draw your pattern in the sequencer and flip between dead notes and open strokes - that's it. But you are also free to strum manually by selecting the 'strummed' articulation.
