Creative use of beautiful mallet instruments
This is the Pandrum 2, the updated version of our virtual hand and tongue drums!
A Hand Pan consists of two metal half-shells glued together with an opening whole in the bottom side. On top is a central tone field with
the deepest note surrounded by a circle of at least seven tone fields with higher scale notes. The creation and tuning of the tone fields
is extremely complex. In the process of tuning, the tuner hammers several overtones into every tone field. This takes a very long time.
Finally the handpan is available in a large amount of scales from all over the world. In addition to the classic handpan instruments with
battered in tone fields, there is also the department of the Tongue Drums, which work with metallic reeds.
It really is a wonderful and extensive collection of great sounding instruments and a software that can be changed insanely quickly. We've packed a lot of stuff into this version.
Pandrum 2 has complete new look: modern and much wider.
There are 11 new instruments - 5 handpans such as Steel Drum as well as 6 layer instruments. Pandrum 2 now comes with 22 presets. That's 15 more. And with the completely redesigned effect engine we have a lot of interesting options for which we have made wonderful presets. I'm not giving too much away by saying that Pandrum 2 has become even more versatile.

Explanation of the Handpan.
In order to give Pandrum the widest possible range of instruments and their variety, we have put together a very
sophisticated selection of handpans and tongue drums from simple to top notch. They were all recorded in several dynamic layers and 8 round robin variations.

8 Handpan instruments

We assembled a collection with the shining stars of the hand pan scene including instruments from the most acknowledged and high-end manufacturers on the market.
NEW: Aya and Yishama.
3 Tongue Drums
The second flavor of the pandrum world are three tongue drums with their modern yet so close to nature timbre. Next to the kinda traditional shaped Aqua Drum we added a long sustaining RAV Vast and a tiny 7’’ mini tongue drum.

5 Misc Instruments Drums
Beside the Mallet and Percussion articulations we included now a Steel Drum and Bonangs - small kettle gongs made of bronze from Indonesia used traditionally in Gamelan music.

11 Layer Instruments
To enrich the textural depth even further we added eleven layer sounds which you can mix in or even play exclusively.
Guitar - gently plucked/ Harmonics - warm plucked guitar flageolets/ Gender - mellow gamelan vibraphone/ Felt Piano - intimate hammers/ Pizzicato - plucked cello strings/ Kalimba - unique attack with woody base/ Metal Bowl - Salad Bowl becomes the handpan of the kitchen/ Glass Bowl - warm and giant bells/ Wine Glass - unique sound with present overtones/ Sine Wave - synth pureness/ Zills - weird bottle caps.

20 Scales
The Pandrum is equipped with 20 different scales. This gives you the ability to play - beside the regular chromatic keyboard
scale - authentic handpan scales. This option is perfect when using external controllers such as the Wavepan Controller
which was specially designed for the Pandrum and fits perfectly to it.

Detailed Sampling
All instruments and articulations were recorded in a very complex way with eight round robin variation in up to 5 dynamic layers.
