A beautiful bunch of nylon strings

The 'Ukulele Trio' consists of a soprano, a tenor and a baritone ukulele. Our primary focus was to create a ukulele instrument with a natural and organic feel which is easy and quick to use in music production. So, we skipped complex articulations, such as advanced solo playing abilities.

All ukuleles come with three articulations: muted notes, open notes and dead notes. These articulations are perfectly suitable for a strumming engine performing patterns based on the pressed keys, which is the best fit for accompanying your song or music. Overall, the Ukulele Trio is an instrument set that lets you easily and quickly play to your music and enriches it with a nice organic feel.

Update Note:
With update 2.0, we have added presets and some new features (like Arp) and effects. We have also taken the design to a new level.

The Ukulele

The Ukulele is a small plucked lute with four strings traditionally made out of guts but nowadays made of nylon. The instrument has its origins in Portugal. It began as an interpretation of a small guitar-like instrument and was introduced into Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants. It gained great popularity in the United States during the early 20th century and, from there, spread internationally.

The tone and volume of the instrument vary with size and construction. Ukuleles usually come in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor, and baritone. The Ukulele Trio we provide consists of a soprano, a tenor and a baritone Ukulele. The baritone Ukulele is naturally the largest and has a different tuning: D-G-B-E, the same as the last four strings of a standard guitar (as opposed to G-C-E-A).

The 'Ukulele Trio' consists of a soprano, a tenor and a baritone ukulele. Our primary focus was to create a ukulele instrument with a natural and organic feel which is easy and quick to use in music production. So, we skipped complex articulations, such as advanced solo playing abilities.

We concentrated on three different articulations. First, we re-recorded the muted notes, which were already successfully used in the former 'Muted Baritone Ukulele'. Further, we added open and dead notes to it, all recorded in 4 round robin variations in up to 4 velocity layers. In addition to that, we programmed a strumming engine which performs patterns based on the pressed keys. This engine is perfect for accompanying your song or music. It is very uncomplicated to use; you only need to draw your pattern in the sequencer and choose between dead notes and open strokes – that's it. But you are also free to strum manually by selecting the 'strummed' articulation and playing around with the key switches.

Finally, we added some editing and FX features which let you shape the general sound and use different reverb types. Overall, the Ukulele Trio is an instrument set that allows you to easily and quickly play to your music and enriches it with a nice and organic feel.
