We elicit this beautiful sound from an old tube tape delay from the 1950s, the well-known Echolette with its golden case.

We cranked up the feedback controls to the point of insanity and forced the delay into self-oscillation. Then, we recorded the choir-like sounds, and the instrument was finished.

Now you can hear the distortion of the old tubes.
